If you have never rowed before, we recommend that you learn first by taking sweep rowing classes. This will teach the basic form and techniques. After completing a sweep class, sculling instruction is offered for guest or club members, and scheduled by appointment.
Monthly classes consist of two, three-hour morning sessions (8-11am), on Saturday and Sunday. The classes are conducted at the Club’s boathouse and dock located at the Wilmington Marine Center, 3410 River Road, Wilmington, NC 28412.
There will be a brief class period each day followed by on-the-water rowing instruction. For safety purposes, class size is limited to five students per session.
The cost is $60 for the two lessons. Payment and a signed waiver form are due the Monday prior to the class date. When your payment and form have been received, you will be provided more detailed information about the class.
